Sophia University English for Scientific Purposes

The English for Scientific Purposes program was designed to develop English language skills and vocabulary with a scientific focus. The program also emphasized exposure to aspects of U.S. culture through direct interactions with students, faculty and staff at UNC Charlotte, as well as the wider Charlotte community. They had the opportunity to engage in various immersive activities that introduced them to life both as a university student in the U.S. and the different facets of American life.
