“My name is Milca, and I am an English teacher in the state of Amazonas/Brazil. I participated in PDPI last year, which took place at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. It was such an amazing experience to be apart of this project. Learning new methodologies of teaching and how to use the resources in public schools (especially because, sometimes, we have very few tools available), and learning about new people and their cultures were some of the most important pieces of knowledge I could ever dream about in my life. I have no doubt I am a way better teacher nowadays and I hope to help my students find their way through knowledge.”
